The magnetic rug can be worn for a few hours a day or for extended periods of time. If used for pre- and post- exercise we recommend 30 mins to an hour beforehand and at least one hour afterwards as part of the recovery process. The Equine Magnetix rug can be worn overnight, ideally no more than 16 hours in a 24 hour period to give your horse at least an 8 hour break every 24 hours. The magnetic rug can be worn on its own in the warmer months and under fleeces and stable rugs in the colder months.

The Equine Magnetix rug is best used at rest in the stable and during travelling but not during turnout. You can use the magnetic rug outdoors if your horse is in a small rehabilitation paddock under supervision.
Yes, as long as the rug is used in the stable or whilst travelling. The magnetic rug is made out of a lightweight mesh material with excellent wicking properties. The magnets will not be affected by your horse being wet.
